Valarie Kimble

I have served in the field of Special Education for over twenty years. Earning a Master’s of Arts in Education with the Special Education option in 2003 and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Sociology in 1999. In 2005, I received a Professional Clear Level II Education Specialist Instruction Credential and a Clear Cross-cultural, Language and Academic Development Certificate. I am certified with Autism Authorization. In addition to having have completed the required coursework to obtain a School Psychologist Credential.

While being employed in this field, I have gained experience in facilitating IEP’s, creating academic and social/behavioral goals, developing behavior support plans and administering informal and formal academic assessments. I have collaborated with governmental agencies, family support groups and district/site planners to develop Special Education curriculum, RTI and course mapping. I have functional and up to date knowledge of the federal and state mandates for students with special needs and these various agencies’ mandated reporting requirements. I am also proficient in modifying and accommodating general education curriculum and resources in order gain special education students access on the road to success.
